First Friday is a monthly celebration in support of local arts, restaurants, shops, and nightlife hot spots.
Enjoy extended retail hours, special events, promotions, and live entertainment hosted by restaurants, bars, art galleries and performance venues.

The Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin, IL (DNA) has been very busy at planning the 20th Annual City of Elgin/DNA Fourth of July Parade!
The 2016 Parade begins with an All-American Pooch Parade at 8:30am at the intersection of Ann and Douglas! For more information or to register your dog, contact FYDOLAND at 847.695.5058.
Then, stepping off at 9am at Slade & Douglas, the “Go for the Gold” 2016 Fourth of July parade begins! Enjoy many of our traditional acts such as the ever so popular (and talented!) Gail Borden Public Library Drill team, BMX bike stunts, Jesse White Tumbling Team, local high school bands, dancers, large trucks, cheerleaders and all the other entertaining acts and floats!
